How McCain Would Change The Supreme Court

Evangelical Rick Warren asked both Obama and McCain which current Supreme Court Justice they would not have nominated. McCain’s answer – Ginsburg, Breyer, Souter, and Stevens. It is interesting that he reportedly told Hillary supporters waaaay back in June 2008 that “he supported Bill Clinton with both Ginsberg and Breyer.” Whatever the crowd wants to hear, I guess. Wonder which crowd is more likely to believe him? Mostly ironic though is that McCain voted to confirm Ginsburg, Breyer, and Souter. He wasn’t a Senator when Stevens was up for vote. “Look at my voting record!” McCain has said on several occasions.

Here is what’s certain – we can count on McCain to say whatever necessary to give lip service to whichever segment of his consituency he is speaking to. We can also count on McCain to support pro-Choice judicial activist judges if he believes it is politically expedient. Want to talk about wasting your vote?
